Alex Goldstein has been with Georgia Tech since 1994. He is responsible for strategic planning, development of outreach and research initiatives, technology transfer, and day-to-day operations of IRIM. Prior to his current appointment, he served as director of operations for the Center for Board Assembly Research at the Manufacturing Research Center.
Goldstein has more than 35 years of experience in industry and academia. He has led engineering teams in development and integration of novel industrial automation and control systems for various manufacturing and scientific applications. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
