Tom Sammon is a Lean Services project manager for the Georgia Institute of Technology regional office in Carrollton, where he focuses on implementing lean manufacturing practices and helping companies develop capital equipment applications.
Sammon's 15 years of experience have been in the field of industrial automation and machine building. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, he worked primarily as a project manager implementing equipment systems into lean environments throughout North America. Sammon's work has been primarily focused on discrete manufacturing, ranging from metalworking and welding with the Panasonic Robotics Group to high-speed packaging for companies like Procter & Gamble and Colgate-Palmolive.
Currently, Sammon is on the Board of Advisors at West Central Technical College's Industrial Electronics degree program.
